Employers For Better Health’s mission is to improve the health and safety of our community members, by increasing awareness and reducing risk through the collaborative efforts of West Michigan employers.
One of the areas Employers For Better Health is very passionate about is preventing deaths from sudden cardiac arrest. Their goal is to encourage employers to make automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and heart saver CPR training available in the workplace.
The Linda E. Anderson Award is an award to recognize employers that make an AED and training available to their employees. It’s a beautiful glass heart that is awarded in the name of Linda Anderson, who died after suffering sudden cardiac arrest at work.
